This doll is deeply inspired by Victoire de France, best known under the title Madame Victoire. Fourth and most beautiful daughter of King Louis XV, she was depicted by the French Rococo painter Jean-Marc Nattier in 1748. Appreciated for the delicacy, elegance and sense of lightness emanating from his work, this artist met a great success with the ladies of the court of France.
This La Française® doll’s precious multi layered tulle tutu recalls the wide ruffle sleeves of the Marquise's dress upon her oil portrait.The blue jewels adorning her headpiece and purse match the shade of Madame Victoire's satin gown. This refined creation was designed as a special tribute to the famous Sissi and therefore bears the title of «Empress Elisabeth».
The purity of her snow white face set against the soft coral pink shade of her gown recalls the youthful beauty of Sissi who was married to Franz Joseph I. Officially portrayed by Franz Xaver Winterhalter wearing diamond and pearl stars in her hair, such ornaments soon became part of her signature. As a reminder of this precious symbolism, this doll has similar shaped embroideries upon her tulle skirt.
To remind us of her high status, «Sissi» wears a graceful lace crown.

This doll is named "Toscane" after one of Italy’s most beautiful regions. Famous for its lyrical landscapes, fine art, medieval history and fashion, its capital, Florence, was home to the world’s very first runway show in 1951.
La Française® doll’s glamorous gown is inspired by Valentino Garavani’s 1967 collection which propelled him to the pinnacle of international fame.
Made of delicate shades of grey, cream, chalk, sand and écru, it combined the best of French haute couture and Italian craftsmanship. To highlight Valentino’s love of flowers and all things precious, this elegant lady’s tulle skirt, corset and headpiece feature hand embroidered floral designs with tints of gold and silver.
